College and University Ministry

We value the importance of providing valuable ministry and spiritual support for post-secondary, college and university students, and we are blessed to have so many young adults actively involved in our church. Ministries for students include our campus shuttle taxi's, student housing, small group bible studies, student luncheons, the adopt-a-student program and more. If you're looking for an opportunity to get plugged into a strong Christian community of students, come visit us at Greenwood.
CAMPUS SHUTTLE TAXI'S
Because many students find it difficult to arrange transportation to and from church on Sundays, we are pleased to offer Nipissing University and Canadore College students, who are living in residence, campus shuttle taxi's every Sunday morning during the school year. The taxi's can pick-up students any morning from September - April and take them home after the service.
Students will need to call U-Need-A-Cab at 705-497-7777 and the church will cover the cost. Please note that it is only with this company that the rides are covered.

STUDENT LUNCHEONS
In our experience, one of the best ways to connect with students is with food! Being away from home (and mom's culinary expertise) can be tough. There's nothing more comforting to a student than a home cooked meal. Student luncheons, hosted by our Student Ministry Team, are offered to all our post secondary students after our worship services, usually once a month. These luncheons provide a great opportunity for students to get to know each other, and provides us with a chance to get to know you! Student luncheons are announced in advance during our weekly worship services.
STUDENT FOOD BASKET
A widely used basket in the main foyer of the church that is always filled with great finds to take home and blesses our students with a free meal or snack.
ADOPT-A-STUDENT
We are bringing back the Adopt-a-Student program this fall, thank you to all who participated last year. This is a way for students and families of the church to connect. Having a family "adopt" you can be a great thing! You will know someone is praying for you and supporting you, you can get together for meals and have people to share your school year with.
Students if you prefer to do the survey you received in your welcome bag online, please click here to complete it.
